Job Description

We are seeking an Associate Attorney to join a collaborative, technology-driven legal team handling a wide range of probate disputes. This opportunity is ideal for California-barred attorneys with civil litigation experience who are interested in developing specialized expertise in probate litigation through training and mentorship.

This role offers the chance to work on sophisticated probate litigation matters from inception through trial. Whether you already have probate litigation experience or come from a broader civil litigation background, you'll receive support and guidance to build your skills in this growing practice area.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with probate litigation matters from pleadings through trial
  • Conduct legal research and analysis
  • Draft motions, pleadings, discovery, and other case-related documents
  • Attend probate court hearings, mediations, depositions, and other proceedings
  • Collaborate with clients, fiduciaries, trustees, and legal team members to develop case strategy
  • Manage multiple matters while maintaining high-quality work product
  • Utilize legal technology and case management systems in a paperless environment

Qualifications

  • Active California Bar admission
  • 1+ years of litigation experience required
  • Probate litigation experience preferred but not required
  • Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines effectively
  • Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving
  • Comfortable working with legal technology and cloud-based systems
  • Writing sample required

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base Salary: $125,000 - $180,000, depending on experience
